EDI/RPA Developer - Hybrid (Atlanta)

Under the general supervision of the Application & Integration Manager, the incumbent develops, tests, and supports Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) documents within our cloud-based EDI platform, Cleo Integration Cloud, and automating business processes using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain EDI transactions and support efficient business operations.

Candidates must reside in or around Atlanta to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Develops and maintains EDI documents.

  • Develops and unit tests a variety of supply chain EDI documents, such as 940, 945, 943, 944, 204, 214, 210, 315, 850, 810, 856, and more.
  • Utilizes the Cleo Integration Cloud platform to create and optimize EDI workflows and ensure smooth data interchange between internal systems and external partners.
  • Performs rigorous testing to validate the accuracy and reliability of EDI transactions.
  • Writes, maintains, and updates EDI specification documents to reflect current system configurations and process changes.
  • Ensures documentation is thorough, accurate, and readily accessible for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Provides detailed technical documentation for newly developed processes and tools.
  • Sets up and maintains communication protocols with EDI trading partners using methods such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, REST, and AS2.
  • Ensures that communication channels are secure, reliable, and meet industry standards.
  • Works with partners to resolve any issues related to communication setup and performance.

Develops new, robust business process automations.

  • Designs and develops new business processes using both EDI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
  • Implements error-checking mechanisms, data validation, and automated email notifications to ensure process integrity and efficiency.
  • Continuously assesses and refines existing processes to enhance performance, accuracy, and automation.

Assists the EDI Analyst in supporting day-to-day EDI production activities.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves EDI mapping issues, ensuring data flows smoothly between trading partners and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Identifies and resolves ERP integration challenges, working closely with relevant teams to ensure system compatibility and seamless operations.

Education/Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 5+ years of technical experience in EDI map design & development, communication setup, business process design & development
  • High level of Interest in automation and integration
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry
  • 3 or more years business analysis experience in API web service integration, development, and strategy with SOAP and REST API’s using tools like Postman
  • 1-2 years of experience working with an RPA automation platform such as Microsoft Power Automate
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various integration formats and documents including, but not limited to: Swagger, CSV, JSON, XML, Plain Text, X12, WSDL
  • Experience working with cloud ERP systems similar to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, NetSuite, or similar

Preferred:

  • Experience with Cleo Integration Cloud and Studio
