National Account Manager - Northeast

Under the direction of the Director of National Accounts, the incumbent will own and execute the growth strategy for key national accounts across the Northeast region. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding distribution, and optimizing in-store execution while managing strategic customer relationships. The National Account Manager (NAM) will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to deliver tailored solutions that enhance profitability and ensure alignment with overall business objectives. A key component of success in this role is the ability to identify and capture new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts.

Candidates must reside in or around the Northeast (NY, NJ, Eastern PA, Connecticut, Massachusetts) to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Own & Execute Sales Growth Strategy

  • Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets within the Northeast region.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with key national retail partners to drive brand visibility and maximize distribution opportunities.
  • Develops and presents account-specific business plans that align with both good2grow and customer objectives.
  • Leverages data-driven insights to inform pricing, promotional plans, and product positioning at key accounts.

Drive Account Execution & Retail Activation

  • Ensures seamless execution of national sales strategies within regional accounts, optimizing in-store merchandising, promotional programs, and product placements.
  • Partners with distributors and field sales teams to improve execution at the store level, driving incremental sales and shelf visibility.
  • Develops and tracks performance metrics to measure the impact of sales initiatives and ensure program compliance.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop a club pack offering that aligns with sales and operational efficiency goals.

Market Analysis & Forecasting

  • Conducts in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Prepares and presents sales forecasts, category insights, and business reviews to internal stakeholders and key accounts.
  • Monitors and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement in sales execution and revenue generation.

Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Proactively seeks new business opportunities, expanding good2grow’s footprint within assigned national accounts.
  • Attends trade shows, industry events, and key customer meetings to strengthen relationships and generate leads.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to retail partners, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment on strategic objectives.

Education/Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the club channel, national accounts, or CPG industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Self-starter with a strong drive for sales success and a hunter mentality.
  • Understanding of P&L management and ability to leverage financial insights to drive sales strategies.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the beverage industry.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
